Our inspiration...
Caroline and Ross worked and travelled throughout Australia and New Zealand between 1996 and 1998, and came across many unique, private Hideaways for couples, from the most basic drovers hut in the Southern Alps of New Zealand to the most luxurious five star suites hidden away in the tropical palms of Cairns in Queensland. All the accommodation had one thing in common; it was designed specifically for couples and offered complete privacy from other guests.
Where we are...
In 2005 a traditional farm bothy was renovated and opened as The Hideaway, a luxury Scottish retreat for couples. In 2007 Caroline and Ross began researching and designing the ultimate 5 star Eco Hideaway for couples, using feedback from a range of guests and researching the latest in renewable technology. Travels to a range of 4 and 5 star hotels in the UK and Europe for work and pleasure have provided all the inspiration required to create a chic boutique hotel suite in the countryside. Working with an innovative local architect, these ideas and dreams have been made a reality.
Our vision...
Our new Hideaways opened in early 2011 and work continues over the coming months to develop new Hideaway Experiences, bringing the best of local food, drink, spa and romantic experience to our guests.
We strongly believe that providing luxury can go hand in hand with operating a sustainable business which complements the local environment and community we live in. We are working hard to become more sustainable and encourage our guests to do so too.
