Romantic picnic spot: The Sidlaw Hills
These hills are part of our farm and have some of the best views in the area. From the top, you can see all the way to the Cairngorms and the River Tay. Enjoy a gentle walk up the hillside - we'll meet you at the top with your picnic feast.
Day out: St Andrews
This iconic Scottish town is famous for its world-class golf courses, but that's not the only reason we love it. You can also stroll along miles of sands, visit the castle ruins, browse the boutique shops and sample some of Scotland's finest produce.
Night out: Dundee
Dundee, just fifteen minutes from your Hideaway, is a small, vibrant city with a lot going on. Discover its thriving arts scene and treat yourselves to a delicious dinner for two. Then while away the evening with local craft beer or your favourite cocktails, before returning to your Hideaway for a midnight hot tub.
Beach: Lunan Bay
We adore this beach, with its miles of white sand, dramatic cliffs and crashing waves. We always stop at Arbroath on the way back to pick up some of the town’s famous Smokies (smoked haddock) for dinner.
Long walk (and pub lunch): Corrie Fee
Just 30 minutes’ drive away are the Five Angus Glens which lie within the Cairngorms National Park - an area of outstanding natural beauty. Enjoy the scenic drive on single track roads up Glen Clova and then walk to Corrie Fee, a truly dramatic location to visit, carved out by a glacier during the Ice Age. The food at the Glen Clova Hotel is more than worth the walk.
Getting here
From your Hideaway, you’ll feel like there’s nothing but rolling hills and barley fields for miles. When in fact, we’re surprisingly close to Dundee.
